When I think about 70s fashion what comes to mind is definitely platforms, flare jeans and hippy/happy way of living. So when I was styling this outfit I tried to keep it as relaxed as possible still staying in my favorite monochrome though.
When you are choosing top for this outfit think about peasant style blouse – something very relaxed with flower motif possibly. It doesn’t have to be white, it can be any color you like. In fact, more colorful – the better. I like everything in white and back so this was an obvious choice for me.
There is not a lot to say about denim here but one thing – it has to be flared. High-waisted jeans are always a plus but it doesn’t have to be. Fabric also doesn’t matter. My jeans here are actually velvet pants in disguise. I’ve been looking for something like that for awhile and the fact that it is Rag & Bone only adds to it.
Platform, platforms and more platforms. I don’t think this style ever had gone out of fashion at all. We see it on a runways every season here and there. There are so many to choose from. I personally love platforms. With this kind of jeans it makes your legs so long they’re almost eternal.
Pretty much any hobo style bag will work with this outfit or something like Chloé and its very popular Faye bag which is very 70s. I choose my little clutch which works very well too.
