The weather has been absolutely gorgeous last week so I spent as much time outside as full-time blogging permits – taking pictures for blog posts, checking new spots for future photoshoots and just hanging out. This outfits yet simple but super comfortable (thanks to this wedges) is ideal for running all my errands.

How to start running

To be completely honest with you – I hate running. That very last mile when all you have left is your determination and close to zero energy and mental power to continue I hate running a lot. I might even curse a little if situation permits and there’s no one around, not very lady-like I know but hey who doesn’t? My yoga instructor said once “Your brain gives up before your body. Don’t let your mind trick you into quitting”.

The second biggest fear is public speaking apparently. I cannot tell you where I’ve heard it from exactly but must’ve been one of the TED talks. I would also add that we spend half of our time (if not more) thinking what others think of us and it is a huge obstacle to overcome when coming out of your comfort zone.

My morning skin routine differ from my night routine and this is how I think it should be because your skin needs different products depending on the time of the day. It needs protection from sun and air pollution during the day and products that help repair damaged skin during the night.

Dieting vs. healthy eating

Once I’ve decided to do an experiment. I would only eat fruits and drink water for 3 days and see how I would feel about it. Psychologically more than physically. Curiosity was one of the reasons why I wanted to do it, plus I hoped to shred few pounds along the way. Fast. Don’t we all.

I wrote down all my goals and reasons (in case I had a moment of weakness), braced myself and went for it the following morning. I was fine till afternoon then I started to feel hungry. I was’t starving since I ate as much fruits as I wanted to but I missed REAL food. The only thing that kept me going was the thought of a nice breakfast I would have after the “fasting” was done and a slimmer waistline. Somehow I managed to keep it going for the whole day only to go crazy the next. On the next day I ate more than I usually eat and I couldn’t stop for two days. So I ended up with two extra pounds and a bruised ego.
