Couple of months ago I've made a goal to give it a piece of mind and finally figure out what kind of perfumes I like. So I am continuing the perfume theme on the blog and this time I will be talking about the second choice for my collection. My decision couldn't come at a more perfect time. New season is a perfect excuse to splurge on a new perfume, to add to your already existing collection or change it entirely like in my case.
It has been hard for me to stick around one (or even two or three) perfumes for a long time. I seem not to be able to commit. At first I get super excited about a perfume and just after a couple of months it looses all its charms. I start looking for something new and exciting while my not so long ago favorite fragrance is getting dusty on my dressing table.
It got even more complicated over the years. As it turns out, I have to love the bottle as much as the perfume itself for me to buy it. It does somewhat makes sense. It will be sitting on my dressing table for a while and I will have to look at it every time I do my makeup or apply my skin care. So I might as well enjoy looking at it.
For most of us Spring starts with spring cleaning of our homes, closets, etc. It's important to get rid of all the stuff that's been accumulating for a year and that is the tradition I've been keeping religiously but this year I had a though - why not start with your head? Get rid of all the thoughts that's been bothering you, make commitment to yourself and plan how to live a more active, joyful and mindful life.
Have you been enjoying your first few weeks of Spring? I definitely have although the weather here is so indecisive. The day I was shooting this post it called for UGG boots and warm sweaters and the day before that wearing sandals and rompers would be an appropriate outfit for the day. Anyhow just the fact that it is Spring makes me feel a little warmer even if it's 40F outside and I'm only wearing t-shirt and leather jacket.
It has been a year since I've started this blog and what a journey it has been! It has only been a year but it feels like I've been doing it my whole life and just started two days ago at the same time. In other words - a little confusing in a good way. There's still a lot to learn, a lot to work on, a lot to achieve but the firsts steps are always the hardest ones. Every morning I remind myself that it is those small steps that lead to big accomplishments.
